Plan Expiration

All Rivertel plans expire automatically at the end of their designated period. For example, the Tourist Plan expires after 21 days. Other plans, including monthly and multi-month plans, expire after 30 days from activation, requiring renewal for continued service.

Suspension and Grace Period

If payment is not made by the renewal date, the account will be suspended. During this time, the customer cannot make or receive calls, send texts, or use data, except for emergency services like 911. The customer will have 30 days to make a payment. If payment is not made within the 30-day grace period, Rivertel cannot guarantee that the customer’s phone number will remain available, and the number may be permanently deleted.

Plan Changes

Rivertel allows customers to change their data plans if their usage needs change. Customers can upgrade or downgrade plans at any time during the billing period through their online account or the Rivertel app. Plan changes take effect immediately, and the new plan’s terms and allowances will apply from the moment of the change. Any unused data, minutes, or texts from the previous plan will not carry over, and no refunds will be provided for unused services.

International Features

Rivertel offers a variety of international services, including free calling to over 90 destinations. Customers can also purchase additional international roaming credit via the ‘RoamFree’ package, which provides connectivity while abroad. Additionally, customers can purchase ‘GlobalRoam’ credits to use in countries not included in the free calling list.

Refund Policy

Rivertel services, including prepaid SIM cards, are non-refundable. Any unused airtime, data, or services will be forfeited if the customer switches plans or if the service expires. No refunds or credits will be issued for unused services.

Data Usage

Each Rivertel plan includes a monthly data allowance: 1GB (Basic), 3GB (Standard), 10GB (Pro), 30GB (Elite), 50GB (Supreme), and 60GB (Ultimate). Once the data limit is reached, data speeds will be reduced for the remainder of the 30/31-day period unless additional data is purchased. Hotspot usage is only available on Elite (5GB), Supreme (10GB), and Ultimate (10GB) plans. Data limits and speeds are subject to network availability and conditions. Usage resets at the start of each new billing cycle.
